Washington, DC — The Regional Airline Association (RAA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Natasha Marquez as the new Communications Director. In her role, Marquez will lead the Association’s communications strategy, including media relations, while also developing innovative marketing and digital advocacy strategies to educate lawmakers and the public about the value of regional airlines and regional air service, supporting the industry’s growth and resilience.

“We are thrilled to have Natasha join the Regional Airline Association, and I look forward to seeing the ideas and strategies she brings to the role,” said Faye Malarkey Black, RAA CEO. “Natasha has an impressive track record of delivering effective messages to the right audiences through various channels. The diverse skill set she has developed in over a decade of communicating on behalf of public and private sector stakeholders will be a powerful and invaluable asset for our members and the industry.”

“I am excited to join the Regional Airline Association to contribute to its mission of promoting and supporting the regional aviation sector through strategic communication and advocacy,” Marquez stated. “Regional airlines are vital to our nation’s economic development by connecting smaller communities to larger economic hubs, fostering local business growth, tourism, and job creation. I look forward to working with the team at RAA and engaging with our members, partners, and stakeholders to advance the interests of regional airlines.”

Most recently, Marquez served as Elmer Roman for Congress campaign strategist. Before that, she supported Public Affairs and Policy Communications at United Parcel Service (UPS), where she adeptly used traditional and new media to articulate UPS’s policy positions and support their state government affairs team. During her tenure with Congresswoman González-Colon, Marquez developed and executed a comprehensive national media strategy, served as the primary copywriter for the office’s media assets, and generated strong communications across various new and traditional media platforms in both English and Spanish while engaging with reporters, government agencies and other lawmakers. Other highlights of Marquez’s career include advertising agency work and progressively responsible roles, including Director of Digital Strategy at the civic media organization Voto Latino.

Natasha holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College and a certificate in Digital Marketing Analytics from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Marquez is fluent in English and Spanish and resides in Virginia. She began her tenure with the RAA on June 12.
